Artist focused on drawing, based in Portugal.
Anabela Ferreira (b. 1996) is an artist living and working in Portugal. In 2024, she completed the Online Drawing Development Year at the Royal Drawing School, where she expanded her drawing practice through technical training, art history, and studio-based methodologies.
Her practice combines drawing from both imagination and observation. She is particularly interested in imagined landscapes that hover between the real and the dreamlike. At times, human figures emerge, but only as silhouettes—indistinct and undefined. These drawings become reflections of her inner world: sometimes confused and turbulent, other times serene and open. Through their ambiguity, they evoke the sense of inhabiting a parallel, almost metaphysical space.
Anabela holds a BA in Communication Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon and previously worked as a graphic designer. Alongside her studio practice, she shares her creative process on YouTube, where she documents her work and teaches art classes for all levels.
